We recently had a strange database error on a site that uses Events Calendar Pro. The error logs were chock full of the following error:
Duplicate column name 'post_date'
Turns out there’s a bug in the plugin that they are trying to fix. In the meantime, here’s three temporary fix options:
- Uncheck: Events > Settings > General Tab > “Recurring event instances”
- Uncheck: Events > Settings > General Tab > “Include events in main blog loop”
- Downgrade both Events Calendar Pro and The Events Calendar to 3.11
We ended up going with #2 and it solved the issue.
Update: I had to also uncheck the box for ‘Recurring event instances.’ The bug was conflicting with the Tag Cloud widget.
